Rest Collective Pop-Up
Restorative yoga and sound in Folkestone
A rest-based pop up space based in Folkestone (8 - 22 March 2026)
The Rest Collective is not a promise of constant calm, instant healing, or forced serenity. It’s a space for you to slow down without pressure or performance, and to arrive exactly as you are. This isn’t about fixing yourself, achieving a feeling, or doing rest “properly.” It’s about creating safety, space, and permission, to breathe, to move gently, to be quiet, to feel what’s there, or to simply exist without needing to improve. Here, rest isn’t a trend or a productivity tool, it’s a practice of care, choice, and belonging, in a world that rarely makes room for any of those things.

The Rest Collective is a pop-up studio offering slow yoga, sound, and rest-based practices in a calm, welcoming space.
Over two weeks, we’ll be sharing yin yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, sound baths, meditation, rest-based movement, and intuitive practices such as tarot. All designed to support rest, reflection, and nervous system regulation.
Sessions are open to all levels, with a focus on slowing down, listening to your body, and resting in ways that feel accessible and supportive.

Yoga and Rest Practices
Slow Flow
A gentle, accessible movement class inspired by vinyasa flow.
Expect slow, steady movement with no focus on fitness, sweating, or pushing the body. Suitable for all abilities, with no previous yoga experience needed.
Restorative Yoga
A deeply restful, low-effort practice designed to place as little stress on the body as possible. You’ll be supported by soft mattresses, props, and blankets to help you settle into stillness and deep rest.
Yin Yoga
You don't need to be flexible to attend this class, but you do need to practice patience.
You hold poses for 3-5 minutes, with the support of props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks.
Yin helps to improve flexibility, mobility, builds patience and self-awareness.
‘Rest in movement’ from Shake the Dust
A somatic, all-levels class focused on fluid, slow, and restorative motion.
This practice emphasizes grounding and "interbeing," allowing you to find stillness and rest within active, intentional, and often intuitive movement. This provides a counterpoint to the more high-energy, shaky, or, dancing phases of the practice.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga nidra (a.k.a yogic sleep) is a form of guided relaxation practiced mostly lying down.
Expect guided rest that softens your whole body, settles your mind, and brings you back to centre.
Many people nap, that’s part of the magic.
Sound
A lying-down experience designed to help your whole system slow down. You’ll be supported on soft mattresses, cocooned in blankets, with dim lighting and a cosy, calm atmosphere.
You’ll be guided into settling your body, then rest as you’re immersed in the sound and vibrations of gongs, crystal bowls, and other soothing instruments. No doing, no effort, just listening, and receiving.
