This 100-hour teacher training is recommended if you want to confidently teach Yoga for Rest; Restorative Yoga,Yin and Yoga Nidra, or deepen your understanding of these practices.

The training is made up of 3 modules:

Module 1 - Restorative Yoga - 40 hours

Module 2 - Yin Yoga - 40 hours

Module 3 - Yoga Nidra - 20 hours

You can attend the full 100-hour teacher training or any module of your choosing.

Dates: Every second weekend from 20 September 2025 to 16 November 2025.

Module 1 | Restorative Yoga

40 hours

Become a confident Restorative Yoga teacher.

 

This 40 hour module is recommended for you if you want to confidently teach Restorative Yoga and deepen your understanding of the practice.

Restorative yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga. Poses are held for long periods of time with the support of props.

This module will fully prepare you to teach Restorative Yoga in a group or one-to-one setting. You can expect a broadminded approach to the teachings, set in a nurturing and calming environment.  Not only will you leave with an abundance of knowledge and confidence to teach, but you will also experience all the benefits of a retreat-like environment.

 

In this module you will learn:

  • The concept of Restorative Yoga

  • Detailed Restorative Asanas (poses), including their benefits and variations

  • Pranayama (breathing) practices that work best for Restorative Yoga

  • Tools to help you teach and aid deep relaxation

  • Restorative yoga history and philosophy

  • Scientific approach to the benefits of deep relaxation, mindfulness and stress

  • How to offer different prop options and variations for different bodies, injuries, and conditions

  • How to structure a Restorative Yoga Sequence with the correct props

  • How to prepare the class environment to create a space for deep Rest

  • How to choose the appropriate language, tone and delivery to make the class a truly restorative experience

  • How to make your class inclusive and accessible

  • How to teach a Restorative Yoga class to groups and one-on-one

  • Anatomy specific to Restorative Yoga

Module 2 | Yin Yoga

40 hours

This 40 hour Yin Yoga Module is recommended for you if you want to confidently teach Yin Yoga and deepen your understanding of the practice.

Yin Yoga is a slow paced, passive style of yoga. Most postures are held for long periods of time and practiced on the floor with the support of props..

 

When combined with internal awareness and introspection, the practice of Yin yoga becomes a powerful meditative tool to cultivate inner stillness.

You will be equipped with the tools to share the joy of Yin yoga with others and deepen your connection to yourself.

In this module you will learn:

  • The essential elements of Yin Yoga and develop a deeper understanding of the practice

  • Approximately 20 Yin postures, how to offer different prop options and variations for different bodies, injuries, and conditions

  • How to practice and teach Yin Yoga and how to cue Yin postures in a safe and clear way

  • A few sample sequences and how to structure a Yin Yoga class

  • How to cue breath and mindfulness into a Yin Yoga class

  • Teaching methodology of Yin Yoga

  • Examples of how to theme a Yin class 

  • Detailed anatomy relevant to Yin Yoga

Module 3 | Yoga Nidra Foundations

20 hours

This module is recommended for you if you want to confidently teach Yoga Nidra and deepen your knowledge and experience of the practice.

Yoga Nidra has widely become known for its association with getting a restful night's sleep. It's therefore become popular in our modern, over-stimulated society to Rest. However, if the practice is only seen as a time to get some sleep, then all the possibilities of the Nidra magic gets lost along the way. In this module you will learn many ways to apply Nidra.

The space is an encouraging, retreat-like environment where you are supported with whatever comes up in your practice and teaching.

Leading up to and during this module you will be encouraged to develop a daily practice of Yoga Nidra. This way you will discover the power of this ancient practice, and teach from a place of knowing.

This module takes a non-dogmatic approach to Yoga Nidra.

In this module you will learn:

  • What the state of Yoga Nidra is and how to best inspire practitioners to achieve the stage between waking and dreaming

  • The definition of Yoga Nidra, its roots in history, philosophy and science

  • Themes like self-care, ethics, and appropriate use of language

  • A variety of scripts and approaches to cover different students and situations

  • Ongoing feedback and support until you feel ready to teach Nidra effectively, respecting your authenticity and inner teacher

  • Overview of different Yoga Nidra schools and traditions

  • The science of Yoga Nidr, basic brain anatomy and states of consciousness

  • Yoga Nidra in relation to sleep, memory and dreams

  • The benefits of Nidra on the body, mind and emotions

  • Importance of voice modulation

  • Voice training exercises

  • Script development and templates

  • Teaching Yoga Nidra to groups and individuals

FAQs

Will Eliza teach all of the modules?

Yes, this is an intimate training fully taught by Eliza.

I am already qualified in some of the modules, can I take a single module on its own?

Yes, this training is designed to be taken either as a full 100 hour teacher training or individual modules.

Will I be able to teach a yoga class once I have completed this training?

Yes, each module will equip you with the tools to teach group and private sessions. You will be practice teaching from day 1.

Who is this training registered with?

Yoga alliance US

Can I miss any days?

Unfortunately not, this is an intensive training. Valuable information is shared every day.

Are books and materials included in the price?

Manuals are included for each module and additional books that will need to be rented or purchased.

Can I do the training if I don’t have a 200-hour qualification?

Yes you can. This training is open to teachers and students. However, If you don’t have a 200 hour qualification you will not be able to register with yoga alliance. This will not stop you from being able to teach though.

How much time is required for homework?

There are 2 weeks between each weekend to allow time for reflection, practice teaching and homework.

There are 20 non-contact hours over to duration of the course. This is split into 2 hours per week of homework and practice teaching.

How many contact hours are involved?

80 contact hours in total.

Will I be a certified yoga teacher?

No. There is no such thing as a “certified yoga teacher”.  There is a national organization called the Yoga Alliance” which “registers” teachers. You can register with the Yoga Alliance after receiving your certificate of completion if you have 200 hour certificate.

What does a typical day look like on this teacher traiining?

Each morning will start with meditation, tea, snacks and reflections from the previous weekend. There will be a combinations of theory and anatomy lectures, practice teaching and time for questions. You will end each day with a group practice.

Do i have enough experience to join this teacher training?

If you have been practicing yoga for at least 12 months (preferably in the discipline you wish to learn)  you can participate in the training. 

How will i be assessed during the training?

Each module has a written and a practical exam. The practical exam involves you teaching a sequence. Eliza provides thorough written feedback on your teaching.
